Cora Roost

The top local scholarship winner was Cora Roost who received one of two Betty J. Joseph awards, each valued at $26,000 over four years. She also received one of three Academic Excellence scholarships valued at $9,000 over four years as well as one of two $500 social studies awards, one of seven $142 Nack valedictorian awards and the Gettysburg Address speaker award for a total value of $35,642. She is the daughter of Todd and Rebecca Roost. She plans to attend University of Wisconsin-Madison where she will major in chemical engineering.

Mary Harrison

Mary Harrison received one of six Rev. Frederick W. Lemke and Ruth Hauser Lemke Memorial scholarships valued at $21,000 each over four years. She also received one of three Academic Excellence scholarships valued at $9,000 over four years, one of two $500 social studies awards, the $250 National Honor Society award and one of seven $142 Nack valedictorian awards for a total value of $30,642. She is the daughter of Paul and Diane Harrison. She plans to attend UW-Madison where she will major in actuarial science.

Samuel Will

Samuel Will received one of two Joseph awards, each valued at $26,000 over four years. He is the son of Sue and Gary Will. He plans to attend UW-Madison where he will major in biology.

Matthew Engel

Matthew Engel received one of six Lemke scholarships valued at $21,000 each over four years, along with the $1,000 Glory Global award, a $500 Booster Club award, one of seven $142 Nack valedictorian awards and the Herreid Award for a total value of $22,642. He is the son of Patsy and Paul Engel. He plans to attend UW-Madison where he will major in engineering.

Marissa Wackett

Marissa Wackett received one of six Lemke scholarships valued at $21,000 each over four years, along with a $750 Boost Club award, one of two $500 VFW Post 3709 Veterans of Foreign Wars Citizenship awards and one of seven $142 Nack valedictorian awards for a total value of $22,392. She is the daughter of Kirk and Kathy Wackett. She plans to attend UW-Green Bay where she will major in biology.

Clayton Haase

Clayton Haase received one of six Lemke scholarships valued at $21,000 each over four years, along with one of two $500 VFW Post 3709 Veterans of Foreign Wars Citizenship awards for a total value of $21,500. He is the son of Ed and Margaurite Haase. He plans to attend UW-Whitewater where he will major in accounting.

Marcus Bird

An additional Lemke scholarships valued at $21,000 each over four years were awarded to Marcus Bird.  Bird is the son of Jim and Tammy Bird. He plans to attend UW-Madison where he will major in actuarial science.

Roxanne Aquino

In addition, a Lemke scholarships valued at $21,000 each over four years were awarded to Roxanne Aquino.  Aquino is the daughter of Wilfred Aquino and Jacqueline Sta Maria. She plans to attend UW-Whitewater where she will major in accounting.

Kayla Terane

Kayla Thrane received the Joseph E. Davies scholarship valued at $20,000 over four years. She is the daughter of Angie and Troy Thrane. She plans to attend UW-Madison where she will major in computer engineering.

Scholarships continued

Elyse Asmus received the Earl and Al Maas scholarship valued at $10,000 over four years, as well as one of three Academic Excellence scholarships valued at $9,000 over four years and one of seven $142 Nack valedictorian awards for a total value of $19,142. She is the daughter of Matthew and Theresa Asmus. She plans to attend UW-Madison where she will major in engineering.

Jasmine Miller received the Larry and Sally Reich scholarship valued at $15,000 over four years along with one of two $1,000 Matthew Zindars Memorial awards for a total value of $16,000. She is the daughter of Julie and Matt Miller. She plans to attend UW-Green Bay where she will major in nursing.

Ethan Bergen received one of three Muriel Thauer scholarships valued at $12,000 over four years as well as $1,000 Booster Club scholarship for a total value of $13,000. He is the son of Kurt and Kathie Bergen. He plans to attend Rockford University where he will major in finance.

Tyler Bartz received one of three Thauer scholarships, each valued at $12,000 over four years, along with one of two $250 American Legion Medal School awards for a total value of $12,250. He is the son of Joshua and Mindy Bartz. He plans to attend the Milwaukee School of Engineering where he will major in mechanical engineering.

Three Edna H. Weigel scholarships each valued at $12,000 over four years were presented to Vanessa Montenegro, Hallie Reeve and Karl Stadler. Montenegro is the daughter of Maria Cruz and Jose Cruz. She plans to attend UW-Eau Claire where she will major in physical therapy.

Reeve is the daughter of Pete Reeve and Sarah Chartier. She plans to attend UW-Madison where she will major in nursing.

Stadler is the son of Greg and Ruth Stadler. He plans to attend Drake University where he will major in pharmacy. 

Sarah Taugher received one of three Thauer scholarships, each valued at $12,000 over four years. She is the daughter of Tim and Tori Taugher. She plans to attend Carroll University where she will major in actuarial science.

Kathleen Schleicher received the Brandt/ Quirk scholarship valued at $10,000 over four years, along with a $250 American Legion Medal School award and one of seven $142 Nack valedictorian awards for a total value of $10,392. She is the daughter of Steve and Kathy Schleicher. She plans to attend UW-La Crosse where she will major in secondary mathematics education.

Two Christopher and Dorothy Coogan scholarships, each valued at $10,000 over four years, were awarded to Jada Wegner and Julien Trujillo.

Wegner is the daughter of Steve and Mary Wegner. She plans to attend UW- Milwaukee where she will major in English.

Trujillo is the son of Natalie Busshardt and Omar Trujillo. He plans to attend UW-Whitewater where he will major in biochemistry.

Michelle Stangler received one of seven $6,000 Joseph and Sharon Darcey Foundation scholarships along with a $1,100 Watertown Agri-Business Club scholarship, a $1,000 Jefferson County Area Educators scholarship, the $750 Scott Skalitzky Memorial scholarship and a $500 FFA alumni scholarship for a to- tal value of $9,350.

Three Technical Excellence scholarships each valued at $9,000 over four years were presented to Audrey Boyd, Nathan Leis and Alex Jaeger.

Carly Bast received one of two Ella Ruebhausen scholarships each valued at $4,800 over four years, as well as the $4,000 Rotary scholarship for a total value of $8,800.

Kylie Nickels received one of seven $6,000 Darcey scholarships as well as an $1,100 Watertown Agri-Business scholarship, the $1,000 Kyle Nicolas Kuehl Memorial scholarship and the $500 FFA Alumni/Kyle Kuehl Memorial scholarship for a total value of $8,600. 

Claire Reichardt received one of seven $6,000 Darcey scholarships along with an $1,100 Watertown Agri-Business scholarship and a $500 FFA Alumni scholarship for a total value of $7,600.

Mikayla Peirick received one of seven $6,000 Daey scholarships as well as an $1,100 Watertown Agri-Business scholarship and a $500 FFA Alumni scholarship for a total value of $7,600.

Micah Yaeggi received one of seven $6,000 Darcey scholarships along with a $1,000 WHS Booster Club scholarship and a $300 FFA Alumni scholarship for a total value of $7,300.

Josephine Meloy received one of seven $6,000 Darcey scholarships along with a $500 student council award for a total value of $6,500.

The remaining $6,000 Darcey scholarship was awarded to Paul Kujawski.

Cecelia Hickey was presented with one of two Ruebhausen scholarships valued at $4,800 over four years.

Jenna Koepp received the $1,500 Coach J’s Jamfest scholarship, a $1,000 AAUW scholarship, a $1,000 WHS Booster Club scholarship, the $750 Lorna Voigt Grady Memorial scholarship and one of seven $142 Nack valedictorian scholarship for a total value of $4,392.

Shaylyn Dunn received the $4,000 Salick-Callahan scholarship.

Brianne Korducki received a $1,500 AAUW scholarship, the $1,000 Watertown Kiwanis Noon Club scholarship, a $1,000 Booster Club scholarship and a $500 Thane Schwantes Memorial scholarship for a total value of $4,000. 

Jadyn Meyer received the $2,000 John and Joyce Byrne scholarship and the $600 Curtain Club scholarship for a total value of $2,600.

Payton Zubke was presented with a $1,000 Watertown Regional Medical Center Health Careers scholarship, a $1,000 WHS Booster Club scholarship and a $500 Thane Schwantes Memorial scholarship for a total value of $2,500.

Sheridan Dettmann received a $2,000 Edwin F. Hulbert award and $250 Booster Club scholarship for a total value of $2,250.

WIAA Scholar Athlete awards were presented to Jenna Koepp and Tyler Bartz.

Tyler Bartz and Marissa Wackett received the Badger Conference athletic awards.
